Undo, redo and autosave
Your changes are saved automatically. Use Undo and Redo to step back and forward.
Kiwi PDF saves your work automatically while you edit — you never need to tap a Save button.
How autosave works
Every annotation, text edit or page change is saved to the file within half a second. Changes are also embedded as standard PDF annotations so other apps can read them.
Undo and redo
Tap the ← (undo) and → (redo) arrows at the top left of the editor.
A single tap undoes the most recent action. You can keep tapping to step back through your whole session.
Moving, resizing or rotating an annotation with a single drag counts as one undo step — you won't have to tap undo dozens of times just because you repositioned something carefully.
What cannot be undone
- Deleting a file from the file manager (not an editor action).
- Exporting or sharing a file (the export itself is not reversible, but the original file is unchanged).
Only saves when you make a change
Kiwi PDF only writes the file when you actually edit it. Simply opening and viewing a PDF — even selecting annotations — does not trigger a save. This protects the file's modification date and any digital signatures.
